The Polgar’s Ultimate Legacy

Fight Social Injustice and Women Equality

Chess was gender dividing.

Girls and women played separately, They had separate championships and world olympics.

Through Susan Polgar, Laszlo Polgar fought for gender neutral competitions, so both girls and boys, women and men would play by the same regulations, they could play each other in any circumstances and any competitions.

The number of women in competing chess was less less than 1% in the seventies, then after 2003 it rose to 15%

This number is still very low. For every woman there are 8 men, so just by the probability 1:8, odds are they would have much less chance to win.
